Support Groups
The HDSA Rocky Mountain Chapter has seven support groups throughout the region. These groups provide contact with other HD families, provide support and information on dealing with HD, provide advice from professional speakers and allow people to share experiences and learn to cope with HD affected and at-risk individuals daily life. Colorado
HDSA RMC Denver Metro Group
4th Wednesday of each month; except Nov/Dec are moved to the 1st Wednesday and June is moved to a Saturday for the annual picnic; 7:00- 9:00 pm; Location: Johnson Adult Day Center; 3444 S. Emerson; Englewood, CO. Jan Jerome, LCSW, Kristi Shaffer, LCSW, Sarah Imig, LCSW, Judith Stucky, LPC, Wade Jensen, Chaplain and Mike Rooney, MA, are the professional facilitators. Alice is the lead volunteer. Please bring your children so they can participate in the youth program.
HDSA RMC North Metro Denver Group
Second Tuesday of each month; except December; 6:30-8:00 pm; Location: Colorado Christian University Building, 10190 Bannock St. Suite 220 Northglenn, CO.; Jan Jerome, LCSW is the professional facilitator.
HDSA RMC Northern Colorado Group
Third Thursday of each month; 6:30-8:00 pm; Location: Poudre Valley Hospital, Basement – Office Scrapes Room, 1024 S. Lemay Ave; Fort Collins, CO. Bonnie Cochran, LCSW is the professional facilitator and Sami is the lead volunteer.
HDSA RMC Southern Colorado Group
Second Monday of each month; 2:15-3:45 pm; Location: Panera Bread Community Room, 7344 N. Academy Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO. Jill Van Dinter, LCSW is the professional facilitator. Laura is the lead volunteer.
HDSA RMC Western Slope Group
Last Tuesday of each month; NO meeting in December; 6:30- 8:00 pm; Location: First United Methodist Church; 522 White Ave; Grand Junction, CO. Darla Mersman, LPC is the professional facilitator. Larry is the lead volunteer.
New Mexico
HDSA RMC Albuquerque, New Mexico Group
Fourth Thursday of each month; 2:00-3:30 pm; Location: Main UNM Hospital, Neuroscience Center, Learning Center, Second Floor; 2211 Lomas Blvd; Albuquerque, NM. Use Visitor Parking at the Yale and Lomas garage. Genevieve Davidge, LCSW is the professional facilitator.
Utah
HDSA RMC Salt Lake City, Utah Group
