The Center of Excellence is a partnership between The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) and the Colorado Neurological Institute (CNI) designed to provide a regional hub of comprehensive, state of the art services for individuals with Huntington’s disease (HD) and their families.
The HDSA Center of Excellence at CNI is pleased to provide the following services and resources:
- Interdisciplinary team of professionals providing specialized evaluation and treatment for HD
- Genetic testing and counseling
- Clinical research trials through the Huntington Study Group and CNI research department
- Education programs for patients and families
- CNI Travel Assistance Fund for patients with financial difficulties
- Training for professionals and facilities
The HDSA Center of Excellence at CNI is under the direction of Dr. Rajeev Kumar. The Clinic is an inter-disciplinary team (Neurologist, Genetic Counselor, Psychologist, Social Worker, PT, OT, Speech/Language Therapist) that is focused on caring for those whose lives are impacted by HD. They serve not only persons with HD, but individuals at-risk, family, and friends. Appointments can be made by calling 303/357-5455.
